How are you determining that you are being DDoS'd and on what port are they attacking you on. Is it from a single IP or a mybrid (Usually DDOS = multi ip).
Also, if your server is shut down, does the attack continue?

Hope it all works out for you soon, I was unlucky in the sense that my DDOS attack was in excess of 30GB's and was terminated by my host for almost bringing their DC to their knees!! Have you ever heard of that crap! I have to do a lot of research on anti ddos , most times if you host web with server you will be ddos'd far easier.
